My my My my
In-Town League Champions!!

The Bellingham Youth Basketball Association would like to congratulate this year’s In-town Champions:

The Girls 3rd and 4th Grade Division was won by the Bellingham Police team coached by Jon Walden.  It was a close game and the First Realty Management team put up a great fight.  The Bellingham Police team walked away with a 19-10 victory that was hard fought.

In the Boys 3rd and 4th Grade Division Chestnut Dental (green) defeated Zanshin Kenpo Karate (grey) 40-36 in double overtime. Max Gamble (grey) hit a 3-pointer late in regulation to help send it into overtime and hit 2 clutch free throws with no time left in the first OT period to force the 2nd OT. Chestnut Dental was lead by Tyler Pepin with 23. David Strong chipped in 9 and Sam Elliot finished with 6 in the winning effort.

The Girls 5th and 6th Grade Division saw Mckeown Plumbing coached by Brett Jacobson defeat Photography Associates for the championship. Missing their leading scorer Reese Doyon, the girls rallied  together  to play  a great "team" game. The offense was led by Daila Goodof and Sabrina Partuzo and  the defense was led  by Sophie Jacobson, Danika Kirby  who were assisted by Amanda Rotigliano and Allison Cundiff.  Sophia Padula also made key steals and rebounds to help ensure the team’s 20-15 victory.

The Boys 5th & 6th grade division had a great season with 9 teams. The final matched Flooring Design and Cornerstone Family Chiropractic.  Cornerstone Family Chiropractic got out to an early lead but Flooring Design battled back in the second half in a very competitive game.  In the end, Cornerstone Family Chiropractic, coached by Matt Hanson, held on to win to the championship 44-29.

The Girls 7th and 8th Grade Division featured an exciting game between Cotter Clovers and Coachman's Lodge teams. The score was close throughout the entire game and up to the last minute where Cotter Clovers was able pull ahead and win the game 49-45. Both teams played hard and wouldn't give up despite challenges they faced throughout the game. Great job to all the girls!!

For the Boys 7th and 8th Grade Division, Blackhawk Pizza, Coached by Jeff Newcombe, capped off their 13-0 season with a 70-49 victory over Charlies Tire & Service Center.  Chris Domercant led the way for Blackhawk Pizza with 23 points, Justin Seyffert and Dominic Rahmin contributed with 13 points each and key rebounding by Alex Fleming. For Charlies Tire & Service Center, Brady Olsen had 21 points, and Anthony Galindo had 12 points. Blake Simpson had an early 7 points before exiting the game with an ankle injury in the 1st half.

In the Boys Senior League, the Dunkin Donuts team triumphed over the Goddard Team 64 to 35 to win the championship.  Coach Newcombe’s team had a great season as did all the teams in this very competitive league.
